Lobby Series
Performance
UPCA accommodates smaller arts organizations and rising artists for performances in the Grand Foyer for audiences of up to 100 guests. Past Lobby Series events include:
- June, 2023: Art installation in the Grand Foyer of Andrea Arroyo’s “Goddesses at the Palace”
- October, 9, 2023: Bachatú, a one-person musical that follows, Dilson, a Dominican-American artist, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery through reflecting on his parents’ story of immigration to New York City where he was born and raised.
- March 19, 2023: Opera Lafayette’s “Opera Starts with Oh!” for children from grades K-12.
- December 18, 2022: UP Theater Company’s “A Christmas Diamond – LIVE!”
- December 15, 2022 Collectives for Arts, Music, and Dance’s “Aires de Navidad” with art making, performance, exhibits, and music jam
- November 20, 2022: Overlook String Quartet performing the work of Black composers
- November 15, 2022 Latin American Culture Week featured 16-year-old Spanish guitar sensation Ausiàs Parejo.
- August 30, 2022 Soprano Maria Brea and pianist Felix Jarrar performed opera repertoire
- July 22 & August 5, 2022Statement Art’s summer performing arts program for elementary and high school students culminating performances
